The Truth - Rock Solid
Sinkholes
Matthew 7:24–27: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

1. Value Godly Wisdom
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice
is like a man who built his house on the rock” (verse 24).
1 Corinthians 3:11–15 “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.”
John 10:35, “The Scripture cannot be broken” (nkjv).
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
2. Seek God For Truth
3. Pray In His Name
John 14:13–14, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
John 17:16–17. “They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.
Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice
is like a wise man who build his house on the rock” (Matthew 7:24).
