When the Devil Knocks 2
Exposed: The Enemy’s Plan to Take You Down
“A lot of believers are confused because they
keep losing battles they don’t even realize they are feeding.”
“The battle is not only what is attacking me from the outside,
but what I am feeding on the inside.”
“So this is not just a story about two dogs,
this is Romans 8 in everyday clothes.”
I. The Enemies’ Primary Work: Lying and Deception
“The enemy starts by feeding something in the mind
a lie, an offense, a desire, a suspicion.”
“Whatever I agree with, rehearse, and entertain becomes
nourishment for one side of the battle.”
II. Satan Is Always Lying
“Every lie from the enemy is an attempt to
strengthen what God is trying to crucify.”
“Every lie is bait, and every time I swallow it, I feed the black dog.”
III. How Satan Operates
“He points your eyes toward what you do not have until desire becomes obsession.
That is how he starts feeding the flesh.”
Strategy 1: He directs attention to a need or desire
Strategy 2: He chooses the moment of vulnerability
“When I’m hungry, angry, lonely, or tired,
I am often less discerning about what I am feeding.”
Strategy 3: He creates doubt in the mind
“A thought I entertain today can become an appetite tomorrow.”
IV. Satan Works on Our Desires
“Whatever I keep feeding becomes
not only stronger, but hungrier.”
V. Satan Uses Deception
“The enemy never labels poison as poison.
He offers it as pleasure, freedom, relief, fulfillment, or justice.”
“One of the enemies’ greatest tricks is to convince us
that feeding the flesh is actually helping us.”
VI. Satan Wants to Create Division
“Division rarely explodes all at once.
Usually, somebody has been feeding something for a long time.”
“When people keep feeding offense,
eventually offense becomes stronger than fellowship.”
VII. We Know What the Truth Is
“Everybody is feeding on something,
truth, culture, fear, self, appetite, or the Spirit of God.”
“If I do not feed on truth, I will feed on something else by default.”
VIII. The Enemy Creates Division by Undermining Confidence in Scripture
“When confidence in the Word weakens, flesh gains strength.”
“One way the black dog grows stronger is when
the white dog is neglected.”
“The question is not only what I say I believe on Sunday, but
what I keep feeding Monday through Saturday.”
“Sooner or later, what I feed in secret shows up in how I live in public.”
“Some of us are praying for victory while
still feeding the very thing that is defeating us.”
