1. Receive the Baton

• Truth: The gospel is a sacred trust.
• Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:13–14
• Receive it faithfully.
• Guard it carefully.
• Question: Am I treating the faith as treasure or merely information?

2. Run in God’s Strength

• Truth: The handoff begins with grace, not grit.
• Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:1
• Stay connected to Christ.
• Serve from spiritual overflow, not exhaustion.
• Key line: We cannot reproduce what we are not receiving.

3. Choose a Faithful Runner

• Truth: Ministry multiplies through trustworthy people.
• Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:2
• Look for people who are teachable.
• Look for people who are dependable, humble, and willing to serve.
• Key line: Giftedness may impress, but faithfulness builds the Kingdom.

 4. Train the Next Runner

• Truth: Discipleship prepares others to carry the mission.
• Scripture: Ephesians 4:11–12
• Model the work.
• Invite participation and give responsibility.
• Provide feedback, then release with trust.
• Question: Who am I preparing to do what I currently do?

5. Finish the Race

• Truth: Passing the baton takes endurance.
• Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:3–7
• Stay focused like a soldier.
• Stay disciplined like an athlete.
• Stay patient like a farmer.
• Key line: Do not confuse slow growth with no growth.

The Baton Keeps Moving

• Paul taught Timothy.
• Timothy taught faithful people.
• Faithful people taught others.
• Multiplication: One faithful handoff reaches future generations.
